Iran film 'As I Lay Dying' by Mostafa sayyari has been selected to vie at 2018 Chicago International Film Festival in the US.
The film which is the director's first feature-length production will be competing with 14 other films at the New Directors section of the festival.
The feature tells the story of a broken-apart family that takes a trip to the south of Iran upon their father’s will. The recently-deceased father had asked his heir to bury him in a village where they have never heard anything about.
The 73-minute film's main cast include Nader Fallah, Elham Korda, Majid Aqakarimi, Vahid Rad, and Mohammad Rabbani.
'As I lay Dying' had its international premiere at 75th Venice Film Festival in Italy.
The Chicago International Film Festival is an annual event that holds every fall since 1964.
The 54th edition of the cinematic event is slated for October 10-21, 2018.
